The free “track session” offer is only available to riders who have never been to the track.
Many people want to try out the track, but for whatever reason don’t go. Some riders are intimidated, some think it is dangerous. We want to show you that the race track is the place where you and your sport bike belong. There are all kinds of riders that come to track days: from the casual street rider to experienced racers. Many have never been to the track and many are track day regulars. The track is the safest place to really use your bike and take your riding skills to the next level. There are no speed limits, no cops, no tickets and safety is at the top of everyone’s list.
Why race track is the safest place to ride?
Race tracks are purpose built to be safe for racing. Race tracks have sufficient run-off in case of an off road excursion. Corner workers are on the lookout for anything that could cause a problem. And of course medical help is always by the trackside when you need it.
Why race track is the best place to learn new skills?
Motoyard Track Days staff consists of friendly and experienced racers, and their job is to help you learn and have a good time. Our instructors will show you around the track and explain to you how to do it right. We don’t pressure anyone into learning, but if you are interested instructors are always available.
So how do you try out the track free?
Please send us an e-mail to trackday@motoyard.com at least a week prior to the event you plan to attend. Please list your name, contact phone number and your bike year and model, we will respond with fre and you will get a free 20 minute session on the track – all you have to do is show up with your bike and a proper gear.
The rules:
Yes, there are some rules: You need to be checked-in and ready by 9:30am. We suggest you arrive at the track at least by 8:00am. First, you will need to check in with our registration. After you are checked in, you will bring your bike and gear to tech inspection where we will make sure your bike is safe to go on the track. Your bike and gear has to meet a few simple requirements to be eligible to go on the track (please read the requirements and information so you can prepare). At 8:30am, we will hold rider’s meeting to go over the track, flags, rules and everything you need to know to ride on the track. At 9:40am you will go out on the track with our instructors. The instructors will show you around the track for a few laps and then let you experience the track until 10am. Please remember, this offer is only for riders new to the track, so take it easy on your fist session. The race track can be an exciting place, but there is no trophy or prize for going faster than your buddy.
If you like riding the track, and you decide to stay for the day, just come up to our registration area and sign up. If you don’t feel the track is for you, there is absolutely no pressure – you don’t even need to talk to us. You are free to stay, hang out and watch or go home.
